The Zags look to keep up their winning streak through the conference championships to lock up a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Gonzaga still enjoys the role of presumptive favorite to win the NCAA Tournament Championship, but things have certainly tightened up with other teams as the season continues to unfold.
The Bulldogs currently sit #1 in the AP Poll, but have been battling back and forth with the Auburn Tigers all season. Gonzaga recovered from that blip and has gone undefeated since. The Zags got knocked down a peg, though, losing two of their next three games to tough Duke and Alabama teams. Gonzaga started their season with a point to prove, winning their first six games. A heartbreaking loss in the 2021 championship game has the Bulldogs hungry for redemption, even without many of the stars that brought them to the brink of glory last season. The Gonzaga Bulldogs arrived at the 2021-22 regular season as the undisputed #1 team in the AP Poll.
